A Page From My
Weight Loss Journal
Looking back at the little journal I keep for tracking my weight loss journey it’s obvious that I had some huge insights that really helped me along the way.
Here’s a page from my journal to give you a peek under the hood of what I was thinking in July, 2016, right before I started finally having outward “success.”
(I’m also providing a translation because, well, even I can hardly read my handwriting…)
“I used to think that my body was something that was reflective of who I was. That it was natural to feel judgement or shame over the things my body was or wasn’t.
I see now that is a misunderstanding.
That my body is simply a vessel that I have the privilege to have. It is a vehicle that was gifted to me in order for me to have a human experience. That my reality is created entirely from the inside out, and any judgements of good or bad are made from meaningless, formless thought.
I can choose to love my body. I can choose to care for it (or not). To care for it is simply in my best interest to maximize my enjoyment of the ride of human experience.”
P.S. If you’re looking for an encouraging guide to help you uncover life-changing insights around your struggle with weight loss, I’ve created a transformational coaching program just for you…
