So where does real, sustained weight loss come from?

And there is one critical detail that I’ve seen along the way: Transformation happens inside first, and then is is very slooooowly revealed on the outside. And the wait can seem daunting.

Our bodies are amazing, complex and miraculous machines that are always working diligently to keep things going, just right, so you can continue on your journey of this human experience. And this means that any changes that stem from an internal transformation, take some time before they are measurably noticeable on the outside.

But there is a silver lining to this delay.

It means you get to start living your best life, the one you were meant to live, right now. That you can revel in the beauty and magic of your body the moment you’ve decided to, and that you don’t need to wait for changes on the outside before celebrating your transformation.

Because the real change, the change that you are responsible for, has already happened the moment you have your internal transformation. The rest of it is a waiting game as billions and trillions of complex chemical reactions occur inside your body. A transformation to a lighter, happier, healthier you.

So if you ever feel frustrated, like the caterpillar trapped inside the chrysalis, waiting for a chance to show off your wings, hear me now: you already have your wings.
